Our corporate social responsibility strategy (CSR) for Design Hotels creates supply and demand for a more sustainable product simultaneously by influencing the hotels and inspiring consumers. Design Hotels themselves don’t own the hotels; they collectivise their clients and represent them in a time of corporate green-washing and where online consumers utilise comparative shopping.
The award-winning strategy goes beyond raising minimum standards and plants the seed of change to reduce environmental impact via three specific spheres of influence: 1. Design Hotels as a business, 2. The hotels they represent and, 3. Each and every consumer they connect with. As international leaders in the hospitality industry it was a natural progression for Design Hotels to begin their journey towards sustainability, “not because they have to, but because they can.”
