Sovereign Hill & Narmbool

The Sovereign Hill Master Plan is a staged redevelopment of Sovereign Hill Outdoor Museum, the Gold Museum, Narmbool Farm and a new site at Elsworth Street.

Sovereign Hill is located in Golden Point, Ballarat and is a museum focused on the history of Ballarat during the 1850s as a gold mining settlement.

The Sovereign Hill Museums Association (SHMA) is a non-profit organisation which runs museum and education programs at the Sovereign Hill Outdoor Museum, the Gold Museum and Narmbool.

The SHMA has received a Commonwealth Grant in order to master plan the upgrade of their facilities, with a 20 year staged delivery plan.

Cost – $23.1 million

Payback – 7.9 years
